🪡 Pattern Description

The April Skirt is one of my most comfortable and versatile garments. This softly gathered skirt features an elastic waistband, two large flat pockets and a slight taper at the bottom. The April Skirt’s lantern-shape form gives this otherwise simple skirt playful interest. It fits a wide range of sizes and figures and can be worn on the waist or hips. It drapes softly against the figure when made from soft double gauze and it stands away from the body when made from thicker canvas weight cotton/linen fabric. Our pockets are designed to sit at the hips, but you’re welcome to adjust their placement. Best of all, the April Skirt is made from eight different panels. This gives you room to add color or pattern to your skirts. There is so much room to play with this pattern and make it your own!
